Open Restaurant - Barrier Design
A simple barrier and planter system made from 4'x8' plywood sheets. The concept for the "X-series" is based on the need for minimizing labor while maximizing the use of plywood. The simple interlocking mechanism of the two plywood sheets generates the self-standing X-shape which has the required 18" barrier width at top and bottom. This can be used as a planter or simply flipped to act as a barrier or a countertop. the resulting surface can be a canvas of sort for local artists to paint or for the restaurant to customize.
