In-Land Living reinterprets the American vernacular of the barn. Designed by S4Architecture in collaboration with AWP/AWILDC, the design and development of In-Land adapts the barn typology to allow for various renderings resulting in “modern barns” for residences, art studios, remote work, or a combination of uses.
The In-Land design is based on geometric simplicity and clean lines which allow the vibrant forest and natural surroundings to be highlighted, while a careful selection of materials brings warmth and comfort to the human scale. As people are reconsidering their urban-focused priorities, In-Land Living provides alternative spaces immersed in nature and adaptable to new necessities.
