Space 4 has been an active collaborator with GUCCI since 2014 and entrusted to execute some of their most high profile stores throughout the country. As an executive Architect for GUCCI, we are tasked with providing and ensuring the quality and execution standards for each project. The recently completed Miami flagship GUCCI, residing at a prominent corner of the Miami Design District, boasts three exterior facade exposures. We accepted this challenge and began working with local teams as well as fabricators across the globe to engineer a custom designed facade to withstand hurricane impact. On the interior S4A was tasked with integrating an elaborate floating and winding stair and a rich array of materials, from fabric upholstery wall panels and custom millwork to intricate stone marble inlays, mosaic tiles and custom chevron wood flooring. We also work with GUCCI to achieve the highest energy efficiency standards, being one of the few luxury retail brands to embrace LEED certification. In addition to the Design District flagship, we have worked with GUCCI to execute stores in Brookfield Place, World Trade Center, City center in Washington, DC, Manhasset Americana on Long Island, Costa Mesa, San Diego, Bal Harbour, Troy and ongoing renovations at the flagship 5th Avenue store in Manhattan.
