Similarly to Residential Tower Phase 1, our overall goal for this project was to break the monumentality often associated with high-rise towers, and to create synergy and proportion with the surrounding neighborhood and NYC blocks.
By breaking the typical grid facade and introducing variety of scale and proportion the design begins to look like a well proportioned vertical village, where, similarly to a vertical NYC block, a sense of individuality and recognition is given back to the dwellers and community.
