San Felice Circeo, Italy

Summer 2025

This photo is from this summer at our family home, designed in the 1950s by Michele Busiri Vici Senior. His work is known for a soft, unintrusive, timeless architecture that speaks to nature and becomes a canvas for shifting light. We speak of his buildings as sea creatures sculpted by the wind. In that spirit, the materials and colors are pared back and purposeful: nothing superfluous, everything is deliberate and spaces to be lived in, loved, and occupied.

This oceanfront house was designed to embrace its spectacular setting along the New Jersey coastline. With a long, uninterrupted glass wall facing the Atlantic Ocean, the house takes full advantage of its incredible views, creating a seamless connection between interior and exterior. The front facade is dominated by expansive windows and sliding glass doors, allowing natural light to flood the living spaces and offering panoramic views of the ocean.

In this apartment for a musician we were able to transform a once-conventional apartment into a bold, open-concept loft tailored to the lifestyle of a modern bachelor. The original space, compartmentalized with interior walls and narrow hallways, has been completely reimagined by removing all non-structural partitions. The result is a dramatic, expansive layout that prioritizes flow, light, and a sense of freedom.
