East Broadway Residential Tower

For this project, we were hired as design architects to create the facade and overall identity for the new Seward Tower at 222 East Broadway.

Our goal for this project was to soften the imposing nature of high-rise architecture, ensuring that the design blends seamlessly with the surrounding neighborhood. Moving beyond the conventional grid façade, we introduced diverse scales and proportions, transforming the tower into a balanced vertical village—echoing the character of a classic New York City block.

This approach creates a sense of individuality and community, offering residents a sense of recognition and belonging within the urban environment. The result is a high-rise that feels human-scaled, enhancing architectural harmony and reinforcing the identity of the neighborhood.
